Boys’ Basketball Camps

Summer Swim Program
Two three-week sessions: Session I: June 7-25 Mon. thru Fri.
Session II: July 6-23 Mon. thru Fri.
8:00 - 9:00 am Gr. 4, 5, 6 Competitive Swim
9:00 – 10:00 am Jr. Competitive Swim
10:00 – 11:00 am Sr. Competitive Swim
11:00 – 11:45 am Swim Lessons: Beginner Level 1 & 2
(submersion, floating, and kicking)
11:45 – 12:30 pm Swim Lessons: Intermediate Level 3 & 4
(front crawl, back crawl, and elem. backstroke)
12:30 – 1:15 pm Swim Lessons: Advanced Level 5 & 6
(breast stroke, butterfly, and swim lengths)
1:15 – 2:00 pm Plunge (open swim) $1.50 per child per day
Participants must be 42” or taller
Cost: $40 per session. Send separate checks for each session.
Band Lessons
Mon. thru Fri. Jun. 7 – Jul. 9 Malone Hall
This summer five weeks of individual lessons will be offered to your son/daughter. Lessons will be one day a week for 20 minutes. All students entering grades 7-9 are expected to take lessons. Lessons are also available to students entering grades 10-12. Please register before Friday, May 21, 2010. Be sure to sign up for a lesson time with the directors after turning in your form.

Orchestra Lessons
Mon. thru Fri. Jun.7 – Jul. 9 Malone Hall
Five weeks of private lessons will be offered to your child. All orchestra students entering grade 6 and up are strongly encouraged to enroll. Lessons will be one day a week for 20 minutes. Suzuki Solo books or the Solos for Young Violinists/Violists/Cellists in addition to the regular school year method and technique books are used. Books can be purchased from Schmitt Music.

A free mini-musical class, “Rosinella”, will be offered, culminating with a performance at area nursing homes and/or child care centers. This 30-minute musical is a take off on the Cinderella story. Rehearsal days/times will be determined after registrations are complete.
College for Kids
Mon. thru Thr., July 26-29 7:45 am – 3:00 pm Cost: $90
Location: Mesabi Community College
Mesabi Range Community & Technical College in conjunction with Virginia Community Ed, Eveleth-Gilbert Community Ed, Mt. Iron-Buhl Community Ed, and the Mesabi Family YMCA is offering a summer program that includes theatre, science exploration, cool math, computers, arts, and outdoor adventures. Includes T-Shirt and morning snacks. Register by June 4, 2010
